For melodeon.net theme of the month August 2025, continuing an alphabetic series with tunes beginning with 'H'. I first heard it played by the Cumbrian ceilidh band Striding Edge. The tune is from Westmorland, from one of a set of manuscripts from the Browne Family of Troutbeck (near Windermere) and now housed in the Armitt museum and library in Ambleside. Originally in D minor, I'm playing it a tone higher to fit on my D/G melodeon.
